Privacy policy

Rank Panic has no accounts. We don’t ask for your name or email, and we never store your IP address. The ads that pay for the game come from Google, which uses cookies. This page explains all of it.

What our server stores

• Your games. When you play, the server saves the game under a random code: the cards you got, your tries and your score. This is how answers are graded fairly and how battle links work. Games are deleted automatically after 30 days.
• A daily player count. To show “better than X% of today’s players”, we count one daily score per network per day. For that, we store a scrambled one-way code made from your network (IP) address, the date and a secret key. It can’t be turned back into your address, it changes every day, and it is deleted after 30 days.

What stays in your browser

Your streaks, personal bests and today’s game code are kept in your browser’s local storage, on your device. Our server never reads them. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Services we use

• Cloudflare hosts the site. It handles every request, including your IP address, to deliver the game and protect it from abuse, and keeps technical logs for a few days that we use to fix errors. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
• Google Fonts provides the typefaces, so your browser downloads them from Google. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Google AdSense shows the ads.

Ads and cookies

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some other vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
• Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.
• If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before ads use cookies.

Ads never appear before or during a puzzle. Some are optional: in Endless you can choose to watch one for a fifth try or one more life.

Children

Rank Panic is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
